2016 is Charlotte Bronte’s bicentenary year, so Monday Book Club members decided to have a day trip to Yorkshire to visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum and the local village of Howarth. (Thanks Julie for booking all the coach tickets).
Six of us travelled to Howarth on 5th April expecting a normal sightseeing day, but when we arrived we were surprised to see a large group of people wandering around dressed in period costume, including a Charlotte Bronte!
They were all being filmed for an edition of Master Chef being recorded in Howarth that day too, but unfortunately we didn’t get to spot the two main presenters or any of the celebrities, not even Jimmy Osmond!
The group photo was taken in one of the gardens at the Bronte Parsonage Museum.
