In true WI style we provided tea and cake at the annual Disley Cycling Festival
It was a lovely sunny day and we had great fun
All proceeds from this years cycling festival (including from our tea and cakes) are going to the Anthony Nolan Trust. This is because 20 year old Thomas Walker, Disley resident and brother of cyclist Hannah Walker, has had 2 bone marrow transplants accessed through the Anthony Nolan Register.
*** UPDATE – OUR TEA AND CAKES MADE A PROFIT OF £101 ***
Many of our members brought along delicious home made cakes for us to sell
Guests of honour were local champions Sophie Thornhill and Hannah Walker
